It is a tradition in ESOF, to organise “Meeting with the Prof”, an informal and hugely successful event where delegates at an early-stage of their careers have the opportunity to exchange with seasoned experts from the world of science. In Torino it was pizza, Barcelona served tapas, Munich had pretzels, Dublin offered porridge, Copenhagen had a picnic and Manchester served a pie. For this 8th edition of ESOF, the name will be “Pâtisserie with the Prof”, where you will enjoy a traditional French breakfast for the morning slot at 7:30am and an appetizer for the afternoon slot at 6:30pm.
Each ‘Prof’ is assigned a table, where there will be room for around 5-8 delegates. Each session will last 45 minutes, giving plenty of time for young researchers to learn from expert scientists and VIPs, exchange about their personal aspirations or experience in science, job history, science careers, or follow-up on hot themes of ESOF lectures and sessions.
Note: in order to allow a maximum number of participants, you will not be able to meet with more than two ‘Profs’. However, you can add in your wish list up to four ‘Profs’. Popular sessions with ‘Profs’ will be subject to a ballot for those who have applied to that session. To register, please fill the registration form below and indicate the two Profs you would like to meet and indicate up to four ‘Profs’ in your wish list.
The “Pâtisserie with the Prof” event is available in priority to delegates registered as early career researchers.
Come and Join us at the AGORA square from Tuesday to Friday included!
